Additionally, he travels extensively in pursuit of outdoor recreational opportunities. Given his love for the outdoors, it was only natural for Danno to turn his passion into a career. For nearly three decades, he has made a living as an outdoor and travel writer and photographer. His work has appeared in dozens of publications during that time.

Danno holds a bachelor's degree in government and master's in history from the University of Texas-Brownsville.
